Surrounded by the Swan and Mission mountain ranges and a multitude of serene lakes and rivers, our Flathead Valley is filled with picturesque beauty for you to enjoy around every turn.
Glacier National Park
No trip to Northwest Montana is complete without time in our beloved Glacier National Park. A multitude of day hikes and scenic views await those who visit this truly spectacular place.
Bond Creek
The Bond Creek trail is a quick jaunt down Hwy 83 along the shores of Swan Lake. The relatively moderate hike offers serene forest views up to the brilliant crystal blue colored two-tiered waterfall. A dip in these crystal waters will rejuvenate your mind body and soul.
Jewel Basin
Hiking the Jewel Basin, home to 27 lakes, is a treat like no other. The climb rewards you with scenic views overlooking the Flathead Valley, glorious meadows filled with summer wildflowers and abundant wildlife.
Flathead Lake
A 10-minute drive away, the shores of Flathead Lake offer a wide array of scenic beauty and water activities. The largest fresh water lake west of the Mississippi river, Flathead Lake has ample opportunities for fishing, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, water skiing and jet skiing.
Downhill Skiing
We are located within an hour’s drive from two incredible ski resorts: Whitefish Mountain Resort and Blacktail Mountain Resort! You can spend a day on the slopes and be back at the retreat with time to unwind before dinner.
Dogsledding
Make your winter dreams come true with a dogsledding excursion! Local business, Base Camp Bigfork, guides dogsledding excursions with a “hands on” approach allowing you, the participant, the opportunity to drive your own team of friendly and hard working Inuit Sled Dogs. Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing
Nearby trails maintained by the North Shore Nordic Club are the perfect outdoor playground for any level! Over 10k of groomed trails provides rolling hills of fun and amazing views.
